Rolling Hills Vase | Hand Built and Glazed Stoneware Ceramic | Tall

A gorgeous glazed vase in a tall tablet shape, the shape and glaze is inspired by our local Strathbogie hills and huge granite boulders. The vase is glazed with several layers of colour, the layers are reminiscent of my view of the hills from my studio after the summer bushfires and the miracle of nature as the blackness becomes green and alive again. The base of the vase is raw clay which has been sealed so it is waterproof. The inside is also glazed white.

This vase is a one off hand built piece. It is approx 30cm high and 15 cm wide. 

The clay is a recycled mix of stoneware and has fired in dark reddish brown colour.
